Welcome to Background.Cheap (“the Service”). By using our website and services, you (“the User”) agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
  • Be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login details.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if we suspect fraudulent activity or a violation of these Terms.

3. Use of Service

The Service allows users to upload images and remove their backgrounds automatically. By using the Service, you agree that:

  • You will only upload images you have the legal right to use.
  • You will not use the Service for any unlawful purposes, including but not limited to violating intellectual property rights, uploading pornographic, defamatory, or abusive content.
  • You will comply with all local, state, national, and international laws.

4. Subscription and Credits

The Service operates on a credit-based system:

  • Credits can be bought through subscriptions.
  • Credits roll over to the next month as long as your subscription is active.
  • Upon subscription cancellation, any remaining credits will expire.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user.
  • Users must actively cancel their subscriptions to avoid further charges.
  • Each user is eligible for 3 free image credits upon account creation.

We reserve the right to change pricing and credit terms at any time with prior notice.

5. Content Ownership and Licensing

You maintain full ownership of any content you upload. By using our Service, you provide us with a non-exclusive, limited license to store, process, and display your content strictly for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We make no claims of ownership over your content and will only keep processed images at your request.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain the Service with minimal interruptions; however, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be unavailable temporarily due to maintenance, upgrades, or unexpected technical issues. We are not liable for any interruptions in service, but we will make reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled maintenance.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we suspect misuse of the Service.

8. Refunds

Refunds for unused credits are generally not provided, and we do not offer refunds for subscriptions. Exceptions may apply in cases of service malfunction or billing errors, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Background.Cheap and its affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Errors in image processing.
  • Loss or corruption of data.
  • Unauthorized access to your account.

10. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes through email or the Service. Continued use of the Service after the updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
